Pre-Doctoral Psychology Externship
Refine your clinical skills and gain real-world experience.
Our Clinical Psychology Externship program offers doctoral students the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, and families under close supervision and professional support.

Two days per week, ~16 hours total, including some evening hours
In-person clinical work with up to 8 clients per week
One hour of individual supervision and one hour of group supervision weekly
Stipend: $1,500 for the training year
Fully furnished offices, administrative support, on-site parking

Individual therapy with children/adolescents
Training in integrative psychotherapy, with opportunities for supervision with experts in CBT, psychodynamic, trauma-informed, and IFS-based therapies
Opportunities to conduct admissions testing for Emerging Scholars and pro-bono services through partnerships with local shelters
Access to consultation groups, didactics, and in-house training
Optional: group therapy, additional assessment, practice management exposure

Enrolled in an APA-accredited doctoral clinical psychology program, with 2+ years of coursework completed
Experience or interest in working with children, teens, and families
Commitment to collaboration and ongoing learning
Two externs are selected each year

Post-Doctoral Psychology Residency

Our Postdoctoral Residency is a flexible, salaried training program where recent doctoral graduates refine their skills, deepen clinical expertise, and build confidence as independent practitioners.

Flexible full-time or part-time schedule
20–25 hours of direct client contact weekly
Weekly individual and group supervision, plus ongoing didactic training
Opportunities to tailor caseload to your interests (individual therapy, testing, group therapy)
Administrative support so you can focus on clinical work

Salary: $80,000–$120,000 (depending on caseload)

Completion of an APA-accredited doctoral program and pre-doctoral internship prior to residency start date
