Life can be challenging. Therapy can help.
Managing work, relationships, parenting, and life’s stressors can be overwhelming. You don’t have to manage it alone.
If you are struggling, psychological testing can help you understand why.
An increasing number of adults are understanding how undiagnosed learning disorders and neurodivergence have impacted their relationships, work, and life. Or, if you are stuck in treatment and need a roadmap of your specific strengths or weaknesses, an assessment can help find clarity. Identifying the root problems of your challenges can help you find new strategies for increasing self-awareness and managing the symptoms.
We provide a range of assessments to help you understand what might be holding you back:
Diagnostic Clarification Assessment
Psychoeducational Assessment and Learning Disorders
ADHD Assessment
Autism Assessment
Compassionate care for adult mental health challenges
If you're struggling with anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, or are overwhelmed by a new diagnosis, we can help. We provide a judgment-free space where you can find strength, resilience, and hope to move forward.

How does team-based clinical supervision benefit me?
We know building a 1:1 relationship with a trusted therapist is critical to successful outcomes. At Expand Psychology, your therapist has the added benefit of being supported by experienced colleagues and supervisors who are available for consultation and treatment planning support as needed.
This level of clinical oversight and collaboration is rare in private practice settings. Care is individualized and always kept highly confidential, but deeply supported by a multi-disciplinary team of experts.
Heal relationship challenges with couples therapy.
If your relationship feels stuck or strained, it can feel impossible to rediscover the happiness you once had. It’s hard to find time to work on your relationship when you are overwhelmed with the daily stress of life.
As a couple, you are a unit, but your unit is still comprised of two individuals with their own insecurities and communication styles. We help each individual express their positions so they feel heard, while identifying repeated patterns that are distressing your relationship.
Our therapists can help you and your partner:
Strengthen your connection
Find ways to truly listen to each other
Navigate conflict in healthier, more constructive ways
Rebuild trust and emotional intimacy
Create a sustainable, secure, and authentic relationship

When you have your intake conversation with our team, we will discuss your symptoms and history. We are happy to explain the different treatment options and recommend the best provider and approach for your specific situation. Many of our therapists are trained in multiple modalities and we will work with you to develop the best treatment plan for you.

From the outside, CBT looks like two individuals have a conversation together in a safe, comfortable space. The first four sessions will focus on building a trusting relationship with your clinician, assessing your symptoms, and building your collaborative treatment plan. As CBT treatment progresses, your therapist will help you identify patterns in your thoughts and behavior and help you find more helpful, healthy, and adaptive ways to reduce your symptoms and create a more balanced, peaceful life. Common strategies include finding ways to reduce the accommodation of anxiety, developing more realistic thinking (learning how to challenge those “what if” worries about the future), participating in relaxation techniques, and being introduced to effective coping strategies.

Yes, Expand Psychology has experts in psychodynamic therapy, which is another form of talk therapy. Psychodynamic therapy is focused on increasing self-awareness and insight into how our past relationships and experiences influence our present thoughts, feelings, behavior, relationship patterns, impulses, and drives. This treatment helps clients become aware of unconscious patterns of functioning or behavior that are at the emotional root of their symptoms.

Couples FAQs
-
We work with couples at any stage of their relationship to strengthen their connection and long-term bond. Proactively working on communication early in a relationship can help couples set the foundation they need for a lasting relationship.
-
In individual therapy, one person is the client, while in couples therapy, the relationship is the client and we focus on helping you improve communication, resolve conflicts, and work through issues like trust and intimacy, to strengthen your emotional connection and relationship.
-
Finding a couples therapist who feels like a good fit for both partners is essential. A skilled couples therapist ensures that both individuals feel heard and understood, providing equal support to each partner throughout the session.

Couples therapy is beneficial for any couple who wants to strengthen their connection, improve communication, or navigate life transitions together. Just like individuals can benefit from therapy for personal growth, couples can use therapy proactively to build skills, deepen intimacy, and prevent future conflict. In fact, many couples find therapy most helpful when they come before things feel urgent. Whether you're struggling with trust, feeling disconnected, or just want to invest in your relationship, couples therapy can meet you where you are.
